After breakfast, visit Lake Bled. It is a glacial lake in the Alps, the scenery is breathtaking and picturesque. Climb up to the Bled Castle, which has been on the hillside for more than a thousand years. Take a traditional Pletna boat to the island in the middle of the lake. Upon arrival, go up the stairs to the Assumption of the Mary Church and the bell tower next to it (additional fees apply). Lunch on your own. Later drive to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Today full day of sightseeing the paradise-like Plitvice Lakes, a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. The mountains, waters and forests are integrated into one. It is as beautiful as a fairyland. The UNESCO has listed it as a "World Heritage Site" for protection. The entire national park is basically divided into two parts: the upper lake and the lower lake.  Walk along on the wooden walkways and visit as many upper lakes as you can at your own pace. Then take the shuttle bus to the lower lakes where the big waterfall is. Enjoy the day in Plitvice National Park.  Lunch at a local restaurant with roast lamb.     (B/L/D)
